Rolling Loud is the world’s largest hip-hop festival with three domestic events per year. The installation at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami is their biggest affair of the year. The Rolling Loud team sought out Draww to draft, design, and implement a site plan that was operationally efficient while servicing over 85,000 patrons each day.
Rolling Loud’s desire was to create an immersive festival and put on a production that would be talked about by festivalgoers for years to come. Designing and managing a festival of this scale typically has its challenges. On top of the modern concern of ensuring the safe and effective movement of patrons, an event of this magnitude had never been attempted on the west side of Hard Rock Stadium. Not to mention the additional complexity of battling Miami’s weather in July.
To begin work on this project, Draww had to ensure that the stakeholders and the team were on the same page in terms of Rolling Loud’s vision for the event. After outlining the goals and expectations of the project, the key to a successful event was regular communication with the Rolling Loud team, department heads, and the venue. During the drafting stage, Draww worked closely with the venue and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive Life Safety and egress plan to ensure all visitors would be safe in case of an emergency. For overseeing the event, Draww assembled an experienced team to manage all contractors and assets of the build. Through constant correspondence with stakeholders, the venue, and department heads, Draww safely supported the biggest event Rolling Loud had ever pursued.
